Shipment tags are a great way to use the SendMyParcel.com system to assign carrier services that correspond to the delivery options that your customers will choose during the checkout process. Shipment tags allows you to offer multiple delivery options that can increase your cart conversion rates by as much as 30%.



First, you will need to add your preferred delivery options to your Shopify checkout.


  1. Navigate to your Shopify Settings, followed by Shipping and delivery.
  2. Next to Delivery methods at checkout, select Mange rates.
  3. Scroll down until you see Shipping from.
  4. Here you can create your Shipping to zones, such as Domestic & EU
  5. Once you have created a Shipping to zone, you can click on Add rate
  6. Ensure that the option Set up your own rates is selected
  7. Add a Rate name, keep in mind that what you write here will be reflected in your Shopify checkout. You will also need to use the same name within our automation rules.
  8. Add a Price, or £0.00 should the delivery be included with the sales.
  9. Once you've created all your zones and added the rates, ensure you click Save towards the top of your Shopify store.


Next, you will need to set up your SendMyParcel.com automation rules to match the service names that you have added in your Shopify store.


  1. Navigate to the Automation Rules option, towards the bottom left of your branded portal. 
  2. Click on the Add Automation Rule button at the top right corner.
  3. Once you've named your automation rule, click on the Add Automation Rule button, where you can add specific requirements. 
  4. Select the Tags option, ensuring the operator is set to Contains. Add the rate name which you used for your Shopify store, ensuring that the carrier and service that you select in the automation rule matches what you are offering in your Shopify checkout. 
  5. Once complete, click on the Save button, in the top right corner.
  6. You will need to create a new main Automation Rule for each destination, and each additional requirement.
  7. Once saved, you will be directed back to the main Automation Rules page, where you can prioritise yours rules, as well as switching them from inactive to active.
