Dropping your parcels off to a drop off shop is an economical and convenient way of handing your parcels over to the intended carrier.
Essentially, after you have created your shipment within our portal, downloaded and attached your label - you can take any parcel, or a number of parcels to a local Hermes Parcel Point that suits you.
Your parcel is scanned and you're given a receipt as proof of handover, which you must keep handy for your records. Following this, a driver will collect the parcel/s and take it to a central collection hub. This is where your parcels are sorted and then forwarded to your customers.
Parcel collections take place Monday to Friday, and sometimes on Saturdays depending on the region the shop is located in. It is important to keep in mind that each parcelshop has a pre-planned parcel collection time. Delivery of your parcel is 3-5 working days from the date it is collected. Delivery times cannot be guaranteed on the day of delivery.
Collection times are pre-arranged by the central delivery depot that will organise the drivers collection rounds. Your parcel is added to the drivers collection rounds after it has been received by the parcelshop. This means that if you have dropped off your package to the parcelshop after the drivers collection round has already been allocated, your parcel will not be collected until the following collection day - which is typically a working day.
